Former IZ*ONE singer Lee Chae-yeon announce details for solo debut ‘Hush Rush’

Ex-IZ*ONE member Lee Chae-yeon has unveiled new details for her upcoming solo debut record.

WM Entertainment made new announcements on September 21 at midnight KST, unveiling the title, format and release date for the K-pop idol’s long-awaited debut as a solo artist via Lee Chae-yeon’s social media. They were made alongside previews of the physical album’s contents, which were also unveiled alongside the launch of pre-orders for the record.

Announced to be titled ‘Hush Rush’, Lee’s forthcoming solo debut is due out October 12 at 6pm KST and will be a mini-album. While other details regarding ‘Hush Rush”s tracklist have yet to be disclosed, they are expected to drop sometime in the coming weeks leading up to the album’s full release next month.

The new details come only a week after WM Entertainment confirmed the news of Lee’s solo debut, writing to TV Report that the former IZ*ONE member was preparing for her solo album at the time.

Her debut as a solo artist will mark her first official music since IZ*ONE parted ways in April 2021. Thereafter, she competed in the hit Mnet reality series Street Woman Fighter as a member of the dance crew WANT. The series first aired in late August 2021 and wrapped up in October that same year.

Thus, Lee will be the fourth former member of IZ*ONE to debut as a soloist post-disbandment, after bandmates Kwon Eun-bi, Jo Yu-ri and Choi Yena, who made their debuts in August 2021, October 2021 and January 2022 respectively.

Choi was the most recent IZ*ONE soloist to make a comeback, having released her sophomore mini-album ‘Smartphone’ early last month. That record was led by a title track of the same name and completed by four B-sides, two of which credit Choi as a co-lyricist. She also contributed to the lyrics of ‘Smartphone’.
