Joe Dante Almost Directed ‘Batman 89’ His Film Would Have Starred John Lithgow as The Joker

Keira Knightley stars in the upcoming Hulu Series, The Boston Strangler. The creepy little trailer has Knightley in top form as her character begins to look into the siege that the Boston Strangler had begun.

Knightley’s character Loretta McLaughlin was a journalist that put herself in great danger and rose above to ask questions that the police wouldn’t. Without the work of McLaughlin, it isn’t likely that the investigation on the Strangler would have gone as far as it did.

The synopsis for Boston Strangler goes like this:

The film follows Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley), a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, who becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders. As the mysterious killer claims more and more victims, Loretta attempts to continue her investigation alongside colleague and confidante Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), yet the duo finds themselves stymied by the rampant sexism of the era. Nevertheless, McLaughlin and Cole bravely pursue the story at great personal risk, putting their own lives on the line in their quest to uncover the truth.

The Boston Strangler stars Keira Knightley (“The Imitation Game,” “Pride & Prejudice”), Emmy® nominee Carrie Coon (“Fargo,” “The Gilded Age”), Alessandro Nivola (“Amsterdam”), David Dastmalchian (“Dune”), Morgan Spector (“Homeland”), Bill Camp (“Joker”), and Academy Award® winner Chris Cooper (“Adaptation”).

The Boston Strangler arrives on Hulu beginning March 17.
