Night of the Demons Parties Hard with a Fun and Scary Time [The Rabid Dog’s House]
The Rabid Dog’s House is a recurring feature at Wicked Horror where contributor Justin Steele uncovers hidden gems, lost classics, and overlooked indie offerings with a little bite. Flying solo or with his co-host Zena Dixon, he will discuss an array of topics covering film, literature, and television. Check out the latest installment below. In this episode we’re looking back at 1988’s Night of the Demons!
Night of The Demons is directed By Kevin S. Tenney and stars Cathy Podewell, Amelia Kinkade, Alvin Alexis, William Gallo, and Linnea Quigley. Angela (Kinkade) has decided to throw a Halloween party at Hull House, an abandoned mortuary with a demonic past. There is more than just one uninvited guest to the party, however, and the atmosphere soon dissolves from spirited fun to fighting off possessed spirits. This horror entry is a prime example of the fun that comes with late 80s horror.
In not taking itself too seriously, this 1988 fixture is seriously a good time and works to have some effective chills. Night of the Demons is for horror fans that enjoy silly humor, solid scares, and over the top entertainment.
