The Challenge’s’ Winner Says No Prize Money Has Been Awarded to Them Yet

In Korea’s Squid Game series, our protagonist walks away from the contest after winning a substantial amount of money feeling terrible about the things that he had to do in order to win. So, many friends, enemies, and strangers dead, left him feeling… like he needed to play again. He didn’t care about the money he only cared about the experience. Now, Netflix’s latest hit reality competition series, Squid Game takes the premise of the Korean Series and makes it an Americanized version that focuses on kids’ games to be the last one standing, and well, our big winner of the contest says that they still haven’t received any of the prize money from Netflix…. 10 months later.

The winner was to be awarded a total of 450 million. Enough to change someone’s life for good. In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the winner of the series stated that they had still not been paid a total of 10- months after the series had been filmed. They said I’m like Tom Cruise in Jerry McGuire now. ‘Show me the money!’

However, someone had reached out to Vanity Fair about this and said that contestants knew that they wouldn’t receive their winnings until after the series aired completely. Now, that all episodes have aired, it is likely that the winner will finally receive their winnings. I’m not certain why the winner hadn’t mentioned that though.

“I’m thinking about a retirement home somewhere. The winner said. “We don’t know where yet, and we are happy with where we are. We live on the water. It’s very peaceful.” “Also, Charities for the underprivileged, wildlife, and climate change.”

Also, it turns out that part of the agreement was to not share their winnings with other contestants if they did win. So, the eliminated truly aren’t going to see any of that.
