Does Jung Jin-su die at the end of Hellbound Season 2?

Jung Jin-su does not die at the end of Hellbound Season 2 but becomes a monster known as the Executor.

The Executor is the monster in Jin-su’s haunting visions in Season 2. These visions continued even after his resurrection. Due to this, Jin-su was prompted to seek out Park Jung-ja, as she was another person who experienced resurrection like him. Unfortunately for Jin-su, Jung-ja told him she was not facing visions like him.

What happened to Park Jung-ja in Hellbound Season 2?

Park Jung-ja found her life in danger from Sung-jip, who initially wished to kill her as he believed she was a dangerous symbol if left alive. This was while he had been opposed to New Truth. However, his motive changed when Secretary Lee realized New Truth would be hard to contain. His new motive for killing Jung-ja was to prevent other people from finding and using her as a weapon.

However, fortunately for Jung-ja, Hye-jin saved her life and protected her from Sung-jip and every group that was after her. Season 2’s ending saw Jung-ja reunite with her now adult son, whom she had not seen for eight years since she had received the decree that condemned her to hell.

What happened to the Hellbound baby in Season 2?

In Season 2, the Hellbound baby was being raised in a secret facility by Hye-jin. The child’s parents, Young-Jae and Jin-ah, died protecting her after she supposedly survived a decree condemning her to hell during the second half of Season 1.

At the end of Season 2, Hye-jin took the child out of the secret facility and continued raising her. Hye-jin also promised to eventually tell the child about her parents, their love and sacrifice for her. It was ultimately revealed the child did not survive, contrary to popular belief. She had been burned to death by executors with her parents, only to miraculously resurrect a few seconds later.
