The NBC reporter who was killed in Tuesday night’s crash in Los Angeles has been identified as Eliana Rodriguez.

Eliana Rodriguez was a beloved reporter for NBC 4 and joined Angel City Air in 2010.

The pilot killed in the crash has been identified as George Marciniw. The two had been flying together since 2023.

A pedestrian on the ground was also killed in the helicopter crash. One person was hospitalized.

Air Traffic Control captured the moment the chopper crashed.

“TV4 is not up here with us. We believe it’s TV4 that went down,” ATC said.

Colleagues are struggling with the loss after the tragic crash.

Reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw were killed aboard the helicopter which is operated by Angel City Air and provided news coverage for NBC4 and its Spanish-language sister station, Telemundo 52, NBC4 announced.

Moreno and Marciniw were both employees of Angel City Air.

Moreno was born in Orange County and graduated from Chapman University in 2010. She joined the Angel City Air helicopter team in September 2010 and reported for several Southern California media outlets.

“We are deeply saddened to share that a helicopter providing aerial news coverage for NBC4 and Telemundo 52 was involved in a fatal accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening,” NBC4 and Telemundo 52 Los Angeles said in a statement.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of those who lost their lives”
