PlayStation State of Play Announced, Will Focus on Final Fantasy XVI
The last PlayStation State of Play had a few games in it, but also featured a dedicated section to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The newly announced State of Play is going to be even more focused, as it is purely looking at one game: Final Fantasy XVI.
Sony announced that this State of Play will stream live on April 13 at 2 p.m. PT. While there weren’t too many details, this State of Play will look into Final Fantasy XVI‘s battle system and fantasy setting, as well as the summons (Eikons) and the people who can host them (Dominants). This will give players a more robust view of the RPG before it releases only on PlayStation 5 on June 22.
After wowing 3DS owners and arcade players, Square Enix’s Theatrhythm series makes its way onto home consoles for the first…
No other games were announced for this stream, making it one of the few streams that just hones in on a single title. Sony has previously had singular State of Plays for huge games like Hogwarts Legacy, The Last of Us Part II, Horizon Forbidden West, and Ghost of Tsushima. This also isn’t a PlayStation Showcase that is more akin to an E3 press conference.
