A Real Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Is Opening in 2027

If you’ve watched the movies, played the games, and still thought “honestly, I’d eat there,” your reservation is coming.

A real, functioning Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is opening in 2027 at the American Dream complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Not a pop-up. Not a photo op. A permanent recreation of the most infamous pizzeria in horror, built in partnership with ScottGames, the studio behind Five Nights at Freddy’s.

And they are going all in.

Guests will eat at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, play the arcade, and watch live animatronic performances from Freddy and the Fazbear Band on the Main Stage. Foxy gets his own Pirate Cove.

Yes, real animatronics.

Because we have apparently learned nothing.

It doesn’t stop at pizza and skee-ball, either. American Dream says visitors will be able to step “behind the curtain” for immersive multiplayer experiences inspired by the survival horror gameplay that turned FNAF into a phenomenon. Details are still under wraps, but the promise of physically stepping into a FNAF-style survival scenario should have longtime fans doing math on flight prices to Newark.

Atreyu Alcantar, creative manager for licensing and location-based entertainment at American Dream, says authenticity is the whole point.

“We’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. We’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.”

That means more than nailing Freddy and the gang. Alcantar says the animatronic shows have to feel real — and the food actually has to be good.

The venue is being billed as the world’s first permanent immersive restaurant experience based on the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise.

Honestly, American Dream is a weirdly perfect home for Freddy. The complex already houses Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, and SEA LIFE Aquarium. Now it can add haunted animatronic bear to the roster.

The news lands as FNAF keeps sprawling well past its point-and-click origins — books, merch, immersive events, and two Blumhouse features starring Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard, with a third film in development. But walking through the actual doors of an actual Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza may be the franchise’s biggest jump into the real world yet.

No exact opening date beyond 2027, and ticketing details are still to come.

One piece of advice when it opens: leave before the night shift starts.
