Elizabeth Hurley Tries to Outrun the ‘Piper’ in New Horror Trailer

Robin Hardy’s incredibly haunting cult film, The Wicker Man is one that somehow actively still lives in the minds of those who have seen it. Hardy gave us a portrait of a very tight-laced Puritan officer investigating a missing girl within a Pagan Island. Much like A Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the film takes place in broad daylight in an ever-tightening dread-filled experience. Good news, y’all! The Wicker Man arrives soon on Steelbook 4K UHD in a beautifully haunting package.

Perhaps most famously, Hardy’s film is known for its shocking ending that manages to shock audiences to their core. The Wicker Man’s finale is wall-to-wall complete macabre madness from its singing pagans to its chilling sacrifice.

The synopsis for The Wicker Man goes like this:

When a young girl mysteriously vanishes, Police Sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward) travels to a remote Scottish island to investigate. But the seemingly quiet community is not as it appears, as the detective uncovers a secretive pagan society led by the strange Lord Summerisle (Christopher Lee). While the townsfolk tempt and threaten him with bizarre rituals and wanton lust, Howie must race to discover the truth behind the girl’s disappearance before his clash with Lord Summerisle builds to a terrifying conclusion – one that has cemented this cult shocker as a modern horror masterpiece.
