Halloween Horror Nights Getting a Permanent Vegas Residency
Universal’s highly popular fall amusement park event called Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) is getting a permanent Vegas residency according to Deadline.
“The concept aims to bring to life Universal’s vast library of classic horror films with a variety of unique, immersive horror-centric experiences, bars and restaurants, seasonal events, and merchandise. The space will also feature a continuously-updated experience with seasonal events.” — Deadline
Page Thompson, President, New Ventures, Universal Parks & Resorts said Universal is excited to bring HHN into the heart of Las Vegas, “the perfect place for this type of unique concept.”
Immersive installations are becoming very popular as a form of entertainment. For instance, Meow Wolf is a company that creates large-scale interactive, fantastical worlds that guests can walk through. In fact, in 2018 they created one in Vegas called Omega Mart which still remains popular among tourists. Moreover, It is next to the same event space where the HHN scare zone is being proposed.

Universal has become the touchstone of immersive IP worlds. They have created realistic lands based on Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and more recently, Super Nintendo World.
This new Halloween Horror Nights Universal project will be a 20-acre expansion of Las Vegas’ immersive AREA15 entertainment district. No word yet on when it will open.
