Mike Ferguson takes us into The Boatyard, August 8th US Release and September 22nd in the UK

Mike Ferguson has built a reputation for bringing unapologetic menace to the screen, and The Boatyard might be his most unhinged role yet. After turns in titles like Amityville Uprising and Beyond Paranormal, Ferguson now drops anchor in Dale A. Stelly’s ocean-locked slasher, delivering a performance that blends charisma with full-throttle brutality.

In The Boatyard, Ferguson plays Barry, a man who seems to be a savior when five college friends’ boat breaks down. Instead of towing them to safety, he takes them straight to his dockside lair, where he and his crew of cannibal killers make them the catch of the day. Ferguson commands the screen in a way that makes every smile feel like a trap, setting the tone for a film that never lets its victims, or the audience, breathe easy.

Susan Lanier joins the carnage, with a cast that also includes Amy Byrd, Megan Carrasquillo, Zachary Roosa, Jamal R. Averett, Caitlyn Rose, Cody Duke, Brian Hall, Kenny Swartz, and Bri Ana Wagner. The script comes from RG Graham, with cinematography by Dana Rice. The Boatyard is produced by ENRG Entertainment and Stelly Entertainment, and distributed by Reel 2 Reel Films.

The ocean has always been a horror setting waiting to be exploited, from the tension of Dead Calm to the claustrophobia of Ghost Ship. The Boatyard traps its characters in a place where there’s nowhere to run and every wall hides a predator. With Ferguson steering the terror, this summer’s waters are set to run red.
