New Image of Nicholas Hoult in Upcoming Nosferatu Film
Tim Burton has been giving fans what they have been wanting in recent years. First, he directs a season of The Addams Family spin-off, Wednesday. After that, he went for the gold with a Beetlejuice sequel that is in the works. Well, now while talking with Empire Burton gave us an answer concerning the future of A Nightmare Before Christmas.
The film stop-motion film was directed by Henry Selick and had a story by Selick and Burton. While Burton loves the property very much, he doesn’t intend on going anywhere with it.
“I’ve done sequels, I’ve done other things, I’ve done reboots, I’ve done all that shit, right? I don’t want that to happen to this. It’s nice that people are maybe interested, but I’m not,” Burton went on to say “I feel like that old guy who owns a little piece of property and won’t sell to the big power plant that wants to take my land.”
Empire says that Burton went on “grumpy old prospector voice,” “Get off of my land! You pesky little… You ain’t getting this property! I don’t care what you want to build on it. You come on my property… Where’s my shotgun?”
The synopsis for A Nightmare Before Christmas went like this:
The film follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the “real world.” When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life — he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry.
A Nightmare Before Christmas has a ton of fans. And, there are a lot of those fans that want a sequel but it seems that Burton is deadset against it happening no matter what. Gotta love Burton breaking down into an old prospectory voice in order to say “get off my lawn”
