‘Paranormal Chronicles’ Is 500 Free Hours of Ghost Hunting

Five hundred hours of ghost hunting just went free. Paranormal Chronicles launched October 1 as an ad-supported channel carrying more than 500 hours of programming, running 24 hours a day on The Roku Channel, Plex, LG Channels, Sling Freestream, Google TV Freeplay, DISH and Bonusview, with A Haunting, Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, Monsters & Mysteries in America and Nick Groff’s Death Walker in the opening lineup. Amazon Prime Video is expected to add it later this month.

The Lineup Has a Long Tail

A Haunting is the anchor, and it is the reason the hours add up. Two feature-length specials in 2002, a weekly series from 2005, and 115 episodes across 11 seasons before Travel Channel aired the last one in March 2022. The reenactment-and-interview structure it standardized is still the house format for most paranormal television made since.

Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction is the other draw, four seasons on Fox between 1997 and 2002, with Jonathan Frakes taking the host chair in season two and daring viewers to work out which of five stories had been invented. Groff, who spent six years on Ghost Adventures before leaving the show in 2014, supplies the investigator end of the catalog, and Sam and Colby supply the YouTube end. Paranormal programming has a dependable floor: the same curiosity that fills the Warrens’ old occult collection in Salem every October keeps these reruns in rotation all year.

Radial Is FilmRise and Shout! Studios Under One Roof

The company name is new. The libraries behind it are not. Oaktree Capital bought FilmRise in July 2025 and merged it with Shout! Studios to form Radial Entertainment, so the outfit now programming free ghost hunts around the clock is also the one horror collectors know from years of Scream Factory Blu-rays. That is a lot of catalog to feed into a free channel, and the channel trailer is hosted on FilmRise’s own YouTube account.

Chief revenue officer Brendon Thomas, quoted by C21Media, calls paranormal content “both a seasonal and year-round programming proposition.” Radial Originals have been promised for later in 2026 with no titles attached yet.

October will take care of itself. Whether anyone is still running A Haunting marathons in February is the harder question, and the free tiers are already thick with horror this month, with Pluto TV loading up its own Halloween slate in the same week. Radial has 500 hours and no subscription to defend, which is a different bet from the one a paid streamer is making.
