‘The Conjuring’ TV Series Is In Development At Max
It’s a damn good day to be a fan of The Conjuring Universe. We assumed The Nun 2, with a story by horror queen Akela Cooper, was the only thing we had to look forward to this year. However, the powers that be just announced there is also a show in development for Max (formerly HBOMax).
According to Deadline, The series will “continue the story established in the feature films.” James Wan, who directed both The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2, is also in talks to executive produce.

This is great news because while The Conjuring Cinematic Universe (TCCU) continues to expand, very few of the spin-offs give us the same demented glee as the core story. We want more time with the Warrens and the cases they made famous. This series seems to be the way we’ll get that prayer answered.
For the uninitiated, all three of The Conjuring films follow paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they help families get rid of evil entities run amok. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga play the fictional versions of the Warrens, who were very real people believed to be experts on the supernatural.

While the Annabelle and Nun spin-off franchises also stem from these adventures, they typically follow other characters in the universe. TCCU currently has seven films that have brought in over 2 billion at the box office. The Nun 2, will be released on September 8th, and plans to continue to grow this impressive legacy.
