The Top-Charting Scary Movies Streaming This October

The Top-Charting Scary Movies Streaming This October

As expected, horror reigns supreme over at Max. The streaming service recently announced its House of Halloween streaming guide for all things scary, and now, the seven most streamed movies on Max are all horror movies. Check them out below!

Meg 2: The Trench

The sequel to 2018’s The Meg is a rollicking good time. Giant krakens, anyone?

Corpse Bride

Mike Johnson and Tim Burton stop-motion delight remains a Halloween perennial. In terms of family-friendly fare, it ranks among the best of what Max has to offer

Beetlejuice

It’s Beetlejuice, come on. It’s not Halloween without the frightmeister.

Trick ‘r Treat

Does this need any introduction? Sam is the king of Halloween. All hail, Sam. Now, if we could maybe, possibly, I don’t know, get a sequel?

The Lost Boys

The Lost Boys has everything you could want. It’s a sexy, vampiric saga and a horror perennial for a reason. I’m glad to see it getting some love on Max.

Dark Shadows

The cast here is good at least. I’ve never been a huge Dark Shadows fan, though Tim Burton’s A-list reimagining is assuredly resonating with Max audiences.

Scream

This long-awaited Scream sequel was my favorite horror movie of 2022. Wes Craven would be proud.

There’s plenty else streaming on Max this Halloween. New documentaries Savior Complex and Evil Lives Here: The Killer Speaks are charting on the television side of things, and in terms of my own personal recommendations, I’d like to spotlight The Hole in the Ground to all Evil Dead Rise fans and Species for some deliciously gooey throwback fun. No matter what you’re in the mood for, no doubt, Max has you covered.

What do you think? Which of these are you planning to stream on Max this Halloween? Let me know over on Twitter @Chadiscollins!
