Top [true to size, wearing in XS] // Jeans [size up one, wearing in 4 Short length for 5’2″ I typically wear a 27″ inseam] // Heels
Not going to lie, I didn’t love these jeans at first… I don’t know if it was how I styled them or what but I just couldn’t get into them. However, I re styled them to snap a photo and spent a little more time wearing them and I love them! They are a great leg opening for my pear shape, fit really nice and the length is perfect for my height!
Bodysuit // Jeans [true to size, wearing 6 regular for my 27″ inseam] // Similar Clogs
I love the rise in these jeans and the deep front pockets are divine! Just the right amount of stretch and the regular length on my 5’ 3” frame hits perfect!
Jeans [size up if in between, wearing 14 short for my 26″ inseam] // Similar Top // Sneakers [size down .5]
Just tried out the AE Stretch Super High-Waisted Ankle Straight Jean, and I’m absolutely in love with the fit! 😍 But here’s the scoop: they do run a bit small, and they don’t have much stretch. So, I’d recommend sizing up. I went for a size 14 short, and it’s the perfect length for my 5’2″ frame. Comfort and style all in one!
Jeans [size up if in between, wearing in 4 in regular length] // Aerie Sweatshirt [true to size, wearing in small] // Sneakers [true to size]
I wasn’t sure about these jeans at first — I first tried them in the short length but I just didn’t think they looked quite right, so I went with the regular length. After swapping the length I felt much better about them on my 5’4 frame. As you can see I played around with the bottom which gave the denim two completely different looks – I kinda love that I can make them look like a more relaxed girlfriend/boyfriend fit with two rolls, or leave them straight for a true straight leg fit!
Jeans [true to size, wearing in 10] // Lace Top [true to size, wearing in L] // Pumps [true to size]
I’ve gone back and forth several times on if I would keep these jeans or not. I like the clean look of them, and they’re comfortable. BUT – since I don’t LOVE them, back they go. What’s not to love? They’re a little more stiff on the bottom half than I prefer; not uncomfortable, I just don’t love how they lay. This would likely get better with a wash, but since I’m not set on keeping them, I can’t test that out. The biggest reason for my decision to return? They really don’t do anything for my [lack of] booty. If baby’s got back, they probably look great on you! For a flat rear-ender like me, they’re not doing me any favors.
Tee [sized up one, wearing large] // Jeans [size up one, wearing 10 Regular] // Similar Mules
If you’re not ready to jump into the wide leg jean trend, but ready to let go of skinny jeans, these are the perfect in-between style! They did hit at a bit of an awkward length on me, so it took some trial and error to find the right shoes. This ankle cut is great for flats or sneakers [or sandals if you’re lucky enough to live somewhere warm]! For reference, I’m 5’5″ and usually wear size 8-10. The reviews said this style ran small, so I went with a 10 and they’re the perfect fit!
Jeans [size up if in between, wearing 6 long] my inseam is 27” // Bodysuit [true to size, wearing M] // Shacket [true to size wearing M] // Sneakers
Would I buy more colors in this jean? Why yes, yes I would! I would try a size 8 next go… I do think those might be the perfect fit! Are they comfortable? They are, I wore them all day – and the longer I wore them the more comfortable they became! What did I like about these? The price + the options they offer… short/regular/long, there’s a pair for all!
Jeans [size down if in between, wearing 2 short] // Loafers [true to size] // Top [size up]
I was surprised how much I liked these jeans when I slipped them on! I feel like they are a great cut can be styled any way! At 5’4″ I tried both the short and regular length, but ultimately liked the way the short hit my frame more. They have a little stretch, but overall are true denim feel and personally I found that they ran a bit large in the waist for my body type!
Sweater [oversized, wearing in medium] // Jeans [size up one, wearing 10 Regular] // Similar sneakers
I was pretty torn on these jeans, but personally the only way I liked them styled [on me] was with sneakers! I’m thinking if I’d like them more if I’d ordered a short length for a bit more of a cropped look!
Sweatshirt [true to size] // Jeans [size up for more relaxed fit, wearing 4 regular] // Sneakers [true to size]
Hi LIY! Debbie here! I’m wearing my usual size 4 in these AE jeans and think they fit tts but if you’d like a more relaxed fit then size up one size. These are a more rigid jean so they don’t have a lot of stretch but they’re pretty comfortable. My husband loves them! For reference I’m 5’5” 135 lbs and got the regular length.
Top [wearing L] // Jeans [wearing 12 regular] // Boots [size up]
I am a solid 50/50 on these jeans! I think I might like them better in the Short length, but overall I found the waist to fit really uncomfortably! The button and zipper part was incredibly tight, but there was also a gap in the back that kept sliding down. In the end I decided to return them because of that!
Jeans [true to size, wearing 4 regular for my 29″ inseam] // Similar Tank // Boots
I tried a size 4 regular, Classic Medium wash & they fit perfectly (tts!). I was concerned when first trying them on because they completely flattened my bum 🥴 but I wore them in and love the fit. I’m 5’8” & 155lbs for reference. I’ve been skittish trying cropped jeans but they’ve really grown on me lately & this pair is a new fave. One thing, the name says super stretch & while they have a little give they are NOT what I would call super stretchy. I can see these being a staple year round.
Jeans [true to size, wearing 4 long for my 32″ inseam] // Tee [true to size] // Sneakers
These jeans are a keeper! I haven’t made a purchase from AE in at least a decade but will go back! I’m loving the straight leg and the length of the talls on my 6 foot frame. I would suggest sizing down if in between. My only dislike on these is that they’re listed as ultra high rise but hit about an inch below my belly button. I thought they would be a bit higher.
Jeans [size up if in between, wearing 12 X-Long for my 36″ inseam] // Similar Sweater
These jeans had a great soft feel to them, and the ankle length, in long, was spot on. I def felt that the waist ran small. I sized up, and they fit great! I might have to start shopping for more jeans at American Eagle!
