Who doesn’t love the smell of pancakes in the morning? Chocolate chip pancakes are a classic favorite for breakfast, brunch, or even dessert. Whether you’re making them for yourself or for the whole family, this easy recipe is sure to please.

These chocolate chip pancakes only need a few ingredients and are ready in 20 minutes or less!

Ingredients

  • Flour: You’ll need 2 cups of all-purpose flour or 1:1 gluten-free flour depending on your preference and dietary needs.
  • Baking Powder: You’ll also need 2 teaspoons of baking powder. The baking powder is what’s going to get your pancakes to rise and make them extra fluffy, so make sure you don’t skip this step.
  • Salt: Add ¼ teaspoon of sea salt to balance out the sweetness of your chocolate chip pancakes.
  • Sugar: This is optional, but if you prefer your pancakes on the sweeter side then add 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  • Eggs: For this chocolate chip pancakes recipe, you’ll need 2 eggs, or if you’re vegan, you can use Flax Eggs as a substitute.
  • Milk: Add 1 ¾ cups of milk. I like to use almond milk but you can use whatever you prefer.
  • Butter: You’ll need 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Set aside a bit more for cooking.
  • Chocolate Chips: Based on your preference, add about ½ cup of milk chocolate chips, give or take.
  • Whipped Cream: This step is totally optional but sometimes I like to top my pancakes with some whipped cream or coconut whipped cream.
