Healthier Swaps for the New Year: AKA Scrunchy Swaps

2024 is here and we are hoping to kick off the year with a few healthier, scrunchy swaps in our household! If you’re wondering what the heck it means to be “scrunchy” well, we’ve got you. As the kids on TikTok have told us, it’s somewhere between “crunchy” and “silky” [stick with me here 🤣]….if a “crunchy” lifestyle is full on fragrance free, non-toxic toothpaste, taking liver supplements, baking bread daily from scratch [mostly against the mainstream! Also, paraphrasing examples here] and a “silky” lifestyle is more in the mainstream norms that include using most beauty products, detergent, plastics/disposable items, etc.!
Now, if we’re talking “scrunchy” it is somewhere in the middle – the buffet of life and swaps if you will. Being scrunchy may mean you use only natural deodorant and eat organic food at home, but babyyy when that Chick-Fil-A line is open – we’re in it 😅
Let me take a moment to say, WHATEVER you are, do, and prefer for your lifestyle is totally up to you. No judgement here, friends! Here at LIY we have just been super curious about the “scrunchy” lifestyle and are looking to make some cleaner and healthier swaps for the new year. Keep on reading to find out what we are hoping to scrunch up in our lives and homes!
