Holiday Cards: A Favorite Tradition

Katy here! I am one of the Content Creators at LIY! Whatever you choose to celebrate during the holiday season, Shutterfly has card options for every occasion and for every style! I love that they are also so customizable. For the design I chose I wanted to feature multiple of our family photos from this year so I went with the 5 photo options, but you could also do 3 photos with this particular design! You can also swap out color, font, trim, and even the type of paper. HOWEVER, I also love that there are so many options for designs already laid out for me because hiiiii it’s already a busy time and I want my holiday card ordering process as quick and easy as possible!

Shutterfly is so great about giving you the option to truly personalize your card for you and your family, down to the touches of the back. Make something that means something: update your friends and family with any news, fun stories, or additional photos you’d like to share on the back of your card. You can also really elevate your design by adding in a slip in liner or festive envelope designs. Also, the more cards you buy – the bigger the price break! My card design process:
- Choose greeting [I choose Christmas for mine!]
- Choose trim type [I did square]
- Design color [I stuck with the white]
- Layout option [I did 5 photos]
- Add in your photos
- Insert our names [I changed my font size to be larger!]
- Choose the design for the back of your card [I did the standard, but you can add additional text and/or photos to continue your story!]

As a working Mom with an almost 2 year old and another one on the way, I love the option to take something off of my to- do list! When sending your cards, Shutterfly gives you the easy options to fully address your cards for you AND even send them for you! Once they fill out the private form, their address will be added to your Shutterfly address book.
