The 2024 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially here, and we’ve been elbow deep in trying the pieces so you don’t have to! We’re sharing what was a hit and what was more of a swing and a miss in today’s post, specifically for jackets and outerwear! If you have been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale already, you may have missed a thing or two, but have no fear – you have until August 4th to purchase the products at a major discount. After that, prices will go back up to normal.
ANNIVERSARY SALE SHOPPING TIPS & TRICKS
- Anything that you love and want for yourself, add to your wish list and check out once the sale is live for your card level [reminder: if you don’t have a card, the public sale starts July 15th]! If it isn’t currently available in your size and color preference, things are always coming in and out of stock, so check back often!
- Remember that Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns! Because of this, I would recommend ordering two sizes on things you are unsure of, to make sure that you can get it at the sale price and return the one that doesn’t work!
- Some of the items I mention may currently be out of stock, but check back often for restocks! We’ll also be notifying you of restocks over on our Facebook page and #NSALE group [highly recommend joining the group for a ton of helpful info and nightly giveaways!]
- Keep in mind that while the sale lasts until 8/4, things go quick so don’t be like N*Sync and have to say “bye, bye, bye” to everything before it’s gone – shop early!

She’s a splurge but worth every dollar in my opinion. The baby blue color, cashmere fabric, and flattering fit – now I just need a reason to wear it!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this dress…. it is just STUNNING. I love that it’s an elevated feel to a somewhat casual denim dress. With the booties, it’s giving me all the fall vibes! Note: It is a bit snug so size up if in between!

Why it’s a miss: It’s actually an adorable dress and would be so cute for a concert, but with the neckline not working with a traditional bra, it was a no for me. Anything to not wear a strapless bra right now!

Why it’s a miss: It’s such a cute dress, just if you do purchase it, be sure to size up, especially if you’re busty. It was so tight on my upper body!

Why it’s a miss: Maybe if I would have tried it on in a different color I would have liked it, but I just didn’t care for this color on me.

Why it’s a miss: The fabric is amazing [think SPANX AirEssentials] however, the turtleneck was overwhelming.
Varley Dress [size up, wearing small] // Nike Sneakers
Why it’s a miss: This dress was SO short on [and tight]. The minute I put it on I wanted it off, even though the fabric was amazing.
Zella Jumpsuit [size up if in between, wearing large] // Flannel Button Down [size down one] // Ugg Clog [True to size]
Why it’s a miss: I loved this active jumpsuit [so comfortable and trendy!] but it was just a little too cropped for me.
Caslon Long Sleeve Belted Chambray Midi Shirtdress [true to size, wearing in large] // Blondo Vivian Waterproof Bootie [size up .5]
Why it’s a miss: I sized up to a large to accommodate a good fit in the arms and chest, but then I felt like it was just too much fabric everywhere else on my body.
Treasure & Bond Cotton Blend V-Neck Sweater Dress [size down if between, wearing in medium] // Blondo Vivian Waterproof Bootie [size up .5]
Why it’s a miss: I loved so much about this dress – it’s a great weight and super comfortable! I just found it too low in the chest for my comfort and modesty level on my body.
We the Free Marci Denim Jumpsuit [TTS, wearing in size XS]
Why it’s a miss: This jumpsuit just did not fit me right… It was too long on my 5’4 frame and the crotch was also a little baggie! My search for the perfect denim jumpsuit continues!
Zella Effortless Hybrid Racerback Midi Dress [size up one, wearing in size xs]
Why it’s a miss: This dress was just a little too tight for my liking! The built in bra is a nice touch but it doesn’t have much stretch and the boob pads can easily get a little wonky [as you can see!]. I wanted to love it!
Billabong Dream All Day Floral Midi Dress [size up if in between]
Why it’s a miss: While I love the overall look of this dress, it just didn’t have much give or room up top – making it a miss for me just not feeling like it was the most flattering!
