What I Ordered vs. What I Got On Amazon

What I Ordered vs. What I Got On AmazonWhat I Ordered vs. What I Got On Amazon

It’s no secret that we love Amazon here at LIY [we even have an entire Facebook group dedicated to our finds there!], but sometimes when it comes to what you see online vs. what shows up to your door may take you by surprise sometimes 🤣 We put Amazon fashion to the test to show you what we ordered vs. what we got and let me tell you, while some of them were quicklyyy decided to right back to Amazon, some surprised us and we loved them even more than we thought we would!

p.s. more Amazon goodies are updated frequently in our storefront here!

Pants [true to size, wearing in 4] // Black Tank [true to size, wearing in small] // Amazon heels [true to size]

I was skeptical when I saw these under $30 jeans that they would be good, but to my surprise they were good! They are very comfortable and I love the raw hem! Highly recommend for an affordable pair of comfortable denim!

Jumpsuit [true to size, wearing in small]

I will say, I like the looks of this jumpsuit more online than when it arrived, however, I’m still keeping it! It is very comfy and I’m sure I’ll rock it for travel days [it’s cute with a denim jacket!]

Pullover [true to size, wearing in small]

One of my favorite Amazon purchases of all-time! I I would go back for this pullover time and time again! I love the black trim detail, thicker material, and bold colors!

Sweater [true to size, wearing small]

The Amazon model definitely makes it seem like you’ll swim in this sweater. I love a good oversized sweater, but I felt that what I actually got fit me better!

Sweater Dress [true to size] // Boots [true to size]

This dress looked so cute online and did NOT disappoint once it arrived. The fit, material, and quality felt top notch! The only hiccup? My package didn’t have the belt that is supposed to go with it!

Denim Dress [size down] // Sneakers [true to size]

Unfortunately, this denim button down dress didn’t quite fit in person like it seemed to fit the Amazon model. I sized up to a small for pregnancy, but found myself swimming in it in all areas – maybe if I try an XS it would have better proportions!

Dress [true to size]

This dress is actually an Amazon version of a Free People maxi and I think it looks almost identical! Not only to the FP version, but I was happy with what I ordered vs what I got as well! [minus the wrinkles 🤣]

Half Sleeve Sweater [size up, wearing in large]

If you’re larger in the chest, you will likely need to size up 1-2 to get the looser fit you see on the model, but I love this sweater and will be going back for more colors! It’s a great transitional weight, and I really like the texture detail. A win for me!

Lauren [5’6″, size M/L or 8/10]

Oversized Tee [oversized, wearing in medium] // Leggings [true to size] // Sneakers [size up .5]

This one was even better in person, and I proceeded to then order it in another color [and let’s be honest, I’m probably going back for more.]

Sweatshirt [not as oversized as it looks, sized up to a large] // Biker Shorts [wearing in large]

Maybe the most popular Amazon sweatshirt on the internet right now, but the model pic was definitely deceiving. I’m usually a medium or large, read reviews and decided to go with a large, and it’s still only this oversized on me. Maybe it’s my hips, but it doesn’t look nearly as oversized on me as the model. BUT it’s still super super cozy and comfy, and I’ll 100% be wearing it all the time!

Crewneck [size up if in between, wearing large] // Shorts [size up if in between, wearing large]

I ordered this set hoping it would be a good “save” version of the Lululemon Softstreme collection and I wasn’t disappointed! It’s crazy soft and a great alternative at a fraction of the price!

Striped Sweatshirt [sized up to large for oversized fit, wearing Papaya]

I ordered this pullover after seeing the Free People version everywhere for fraction of the price! I love the stripes trend and this one was a keeper!
