High school friends David Monks, Graham Wright, Josh Hook, and Greg Alsop formed Tokyo Police Club in 2005, and released their debut EP A Lesson in Crime the following year. The band found early success with their 2008 debut album Elephant Shell and 2010’s Champ, the latter of which got a belated 10th anniversary reissue in 2021. Tokyo Police Club went on to release two more studio albums: Forcefield in 2014 and 2018’s TPC.
