We Are Scientists to play ‘Brain Thrust Masteryâ 2024 UK tour
We Are Scientists have announced a run of UK tour dates, set to kick off later this year. Find all dates and ticket details below.
Announced today (May 24), the upcoming live shows will see the New York duo embark on eight shows across the country in celebration of their sophomore album âBrain Thrust Masteryâ.
Originally released back in 2008, the album contained hits including âAfter Hoursâ, âChick Litâ and âImpatienceâ, and will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, both Keith Murray and Chris Cane will be playing the LP in full at a number of intimate venues in the UK.
The dates will all take place across November, and open with a secret show in London on the 17th. The venue for the gig has not been officially announced.
From there, the shows continued two days later with a slot at the Engine Rooms in Southampton (19), followed by stops in Bristol and Manchester on November 20 and 21 respectively.
A gig at the historic Leadmill venue in Sheffield is going to be held afterwards, as will one in Leeds and one in Newcastle. The tour concludes with a final show at the Oran Mor in Glasgow on November 26.
Tickets go on sale next Friday (May 31) at 10am BST. Visit here to buy tickets and find a full list of dates below.

âWeâre not the sort of guys who care much about celebrating our birthdays or things like that, but we will do anything for a party,â said Keith Murray of the announcement.
âIf you tell us that our highest-charting record with some of our biggest singles is being re-released, weâre gonna use that as an excuse to throw a rager in, say, Sheffield. You tell us this is going to be a deluxe reissue thing? In that case, weâre going to need to have no fewer than eight parties, thanks.â
The upcoming tour dates coincide with a deluxe LP reissue of the bandâs second album â more details of which are soon to be revealed.
At the start of the year, We Are Scientists shared their new album âLobesâ. It marked the bandâs eighth studio album and the follow-up to last yearâs âHuffyâ.
The first single from the album, âOperation Errorâ, was released back in September, and they followed it up with âSettled Accountsâ in Januaryâ a song which they described as their âfunkiest tune yetâ.
