‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Specials Dates — When Will They Premiere on Disney+? (VIDEO)

The Doctor and Donna are back on our screens in just about a month.

The three Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Specials, featuring the returns of David Tennant (now the Fourteenth Doctor, previously the Tenth) and Catherine Tate (Donna Noble), will air in the U.S. on Disney+ starting on Saturday, November 25, with “The Star Beast.” Next is “Wild Blue Yonder” on December 2, and finally, “The Giggle” on December 9. The new season, which will feature Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, will premiere in 2024. (Doctor Who will now be released on Disney+ globally except in the UK and Ireland, where they will air on the BBC.) Plus, there’s a new trailer.

These three specials reunite the Doctor with Donna Temple-Noble as they come face-to-face with their most terrifying villain yet: the Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris). In addition to Tennant and Tate, returning for these episodes are Jacqueline King as Sylvia Noble, Karl Collins as Shaun Temple, and Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart. Also appearing are Yasmin Finney as Rose Temple-Noble, Miriam Margolyes as the voice of the Meep, and Ruth Madeley as Shirley Anne Bingham.

“After a very long time, something’s coming back,” the Doctor says in the trailer. Watch the video above for a peek at the new threat as well as a reminder of why the Doctor had to erase Donna’s memory of him and the Doctor getting emotional and raging.

Doctor Who surprised viewers a year ago when, instead of Jodie Whittaker regenerating into Gatwa’s doctor, it was Tennant who appeared. Following the reveal, showrunner Russell T. Davies announced Tennant is playing the Fourteenth Doctor and Gatwa will actually be the Fifteenth.

Doctor Who is produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios. Davies also serves as a writer and executive producer. Phil Collinson, Joel Collins, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter also executive produce. The 60th anniversary specials are written by Davies and directed by Rachel Talalay, Tom Kingsley, and Chanya Button, respectively.

Gatwa will take control of the TARDIS as the Fifteenth Doctor over the festive period, and the new season of Doctor Who will stream globally in 2024 on Disney+ and on the BBC in the UK and Ireland.
