Hits & Misses: 2024 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
A few drops of sweat and countless outfit changes later, my official 2024 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Hits & Misses post is here! From sweaters to boots, jeans, and dresses, it went from summer to fall in a HOT second today. No truly, it got really hot as soon as I started putting said fall items on. #worthit.
While there are literally thousands of items [I may have ordered just a few shy of this number, oops] in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I am hoping this compilation of hits and misses will not just save you some time, but see the items on a real person and also be able to hear my honest thoughts on sizing, quality, cut and all of that good stuff!
If you have been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale already, you may have missed a thing or two, but have no fear – you have until August 4th to purchase the products at a major discount. After that, prices will go back up to normal.
ANNIVERSARY SALE SHOPPING TIPS & TRICKS
- Anything that you love and want for yourself, add to your wish list and check out once the sale is live for your card level [reminder: if you don’t have a card, the public sale starts July 17th]! If it isn’t currently available in your size and color preference, things are always coming in and out of stock, so check back often!
- Remember that Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns! Because of this, I would recommend ordering two sizes on things you are unsure of, to make sure that you can get it at the sale price and return the one that doesn’t work!
- Some of the items that I mention may currently be out of stock, but check back often for restocks! We’ll also be notifying you of restocks over on our Facebook page and #NSALE group [highly recommend joining the group for a ton of helpful info and nightly giveaways!]
- Keep in mind that while the sale lasts until 8/4, things go quick so don’t be like N*Sync and have to say “bye, bye, bye” to everything before it’s gone – shop early!

ps. For sizing reference, I am 5’4, 145 lbs depending on the day, typically a small/4 in tops + dresses and 27 in jeans + pants with a preferred inseam of 26-28 inches. Bra size is 36DDD [hello milk supply]. Now, let’s get [the longest party you’ve ever attended] started…

Why it’s a miss: I loved this on the hanger but as soon as it was on my body, the two front slits were just not doing it for me. For the price, I couldn’t justify it.

Why it’s a miss: Not going to lie, the two of these pieces together just felt like a mess. I ended up tucking the pants drawstring because when they were out it was a lot of strings all in one spot.

Why it’s a miss: There wasn’t anything wrong with this jacket, I just didn’t love it on me. It was more oversized than I had anticipated, but overall it was a very soft fabric.

Why it’s a miss: It’s actually an adorable dress and would be so cute for a concert, but with the neckline not working with a traditional bra, it was a no for me. Anything to not wear a strapless bra right now!

Why it’s a miss: It’s such a cute dress, just if you do purchase it, be sure to size up, especially if you’re busty. It was so tight on my upper body!

Why it’s a miss: Maybe if I would have tried it on in a different color I would have liked it, but I just didn’t care for this color on me.

Why it’s a miss: The fabric is amazing [think SPANX AirEssentials] however, the turtleneck was overwhelming.
