NSale Hits & Misses: Sweaters & Tops

The 2024 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially here, and we’ve been elbow deep in trying the pieces so you don’t have to! We’re sharing what was a hit and what was more of a swing and a miss in today’s post, specifically for jackets and outerwear! If you have been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale already, you may have missed a thing or two, but have no fear – you have until August 4th to purchase the products at a major discount. After that, prices will go back up to normal.

ANNIVERSARY SALE SHOPPING TIPS & TRICKS

1. Anything that you love and want for yourself, add to your wish list and check out once the sale is live for your card level [reminder: if you don’t have a card, the public sale starts July 15th]! If it isn’t currently available in your size and color preference, things are always coming in and out of stock, so check back often!
2. Remember that Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns! Because of this, I would recommend ordering two sizes on things you are unsure of, to make sure that you can get it at the sale price and return the one that doesn’t work!
3. Some of the items I mention may currently be out of stock, but check back often for restocks! We’ll also be notifying you of restocks over on our Facebook page and #NSALE group [highly recommend joining the group for a ton of helpful info and nightly giveaways!] 
4. Keep in mind that while the sale lasts until 8/4, things go quick so don’t be like N*Sync and have to say “bye, bye, bye” to everything before it’s gone – shop early!

Why it’s a miss: As much as I loved the overall idea of the sweater, once I got it on it cheap – more like something that would fall apart after a wash or two!

Why it’s a miss: I didn’t love the detailing on this top, it kind of gave me Star Trek vibes 🖖🏻 I think I maybe should have sized down because I didn’t love the fit of it either – felt a little baggie and heavy!

Why it’s a miss: I was hoping this tee was going to be more maroon but she was a BRIGHT red. I just didn’t really need it but it was a fun thought 😉

Why it’s a miss: Erin said this top reminded her of the pirate shirt episode on Seinfeld, LOL! It was a cool concept but not very comfortable.

Why it’s a miss: This outfit is just bad, ha! But this sweater felt a little young for me, and just didn’t feel like the best quality. Beware – It is VERY cropped.

Why it’s a miss: It’s a cute sweater, but for me, not worth the price!

Why it’s a miss: Personally, I didn’t love the the stripes or the color of this sweater.

Why it’s a miss: Just no…. the fit and structure of this one was not working for me…

Why it’s a miss: SUPER cute top but if I didn’t tie it, the ties went past my knees lol It was also pretty see through in the back!

Why it’s a miss: I REALLY wanted to love this… it was top of my wishlist but for the price and overall fit, it just wasn’t worth it!

Why it’s a miss: BEWARE — the arms are VERY tight… Sizing up would have thrown the entire top off too!

Why it’s a miss: I don’t know if it was just mine but it smelled absolutely terrible! The material was very odd too! Not worth it in my opinion!

Why it’s a miss: I wanted to love this sweater so bad! It’s a great weight and looks so cute on the hanger, and honestly I think it would look so cute on someone else! It just wasn’t the right shape for my body and pulled across the chest, but if you’re a little less endowed (DDD here), give it a try!

Why it’s a miss: This top has great weight and feel when it’s on. However, it just didn’t hug my body in the way I thought it would. There was extra material by the pits for those with smaller chests and just wasn’t meant for me!

Why it’s a miss: I loved this sweater during the preview, but after putting it on I fell out of love. It was an awkward length for my body so I sadly put it back on the rack.

Why it’s a miss: This sweater was super cute on the hanger… but I found it lacking something once I tossed it over my head. Maybe I needed a set of leggings and uggs to make this magic come alive. I just wasn’t feeling it!

Turtleneck Sweater

Why it’s a miss: Was it soft, heck yes! Was it just odd looking on me? Heck yes! For the price there was no way I was keeping this gal.. I tossed her back out to sea[I’m sure she will find a home somewhere perfect soon!]

Cotton Button Up

Why it’s a miss: When you have to head to your friend’s dressing room to figure out how to style this shirt, I was quickly told myself this isn’t for you! I really wanted to love it, I just don’t wear this style often so I was going out on a limb here!

Why it’s a miss: Hannah had this on and I thought it was so cute so I gave it a try and just didn’t love it on me. The sleeves were way too long and baggy for my liking.
