So, it’s unsurprising that the #1 movie on the Hulu charts is based on a terrifying Stephen King short story. Everyone is finally checking out The Boogeyman as they get into the Halloween spirit. “High school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are reeling from the recent death of their mother and aren’t getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims.”

The Boogeyman was directed by Rob Savage. The screenplay was written by Scott Beck, Bryan Woods, and Mark Heyman. The script is based on a Stephen King short story of the same name. The movie stars Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, Vivien Lyra Blair, David Dastmalchian, Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton, and Maddie Nichols.
