Nanny-Cam Thriller ‘One Night Out’ Lands Mosaku and Hodge

The nanny cam shows someone in the house with the babysitter and the three kids, and the parents are across town on a rare night out. Wunmi Mosaku and Aldis Hodge play that couple in One Night Out, a thriller George Tillman Jr. is directing for Orion Pictures. Deadline broke the news on Thursday.

The script is by Nelson Greaves, with revisions from Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, and Tillman produces with Bob Teitel. Greaves has written this shape of threat before. Unfriended played out entirely on a laptop desktop, and the thing that sets One Night Out going is a face on a nanny cam feed.

“I’ve wanted to work with Aldis and Wunmi for years,” Tillman said in Deadline’s report.

Mosaku’s Horror Run Started With ‘His House’

Mosaku plays Annie in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, the fourth highest-grossing horror film of the last decade. Before that she was Ruby Baptiste on HBO’s Lovecraft Country, and Rial in His House, where a South Sudanese couple’s new home in England turns out to be occupied.

Hodge Played the Cop in ‘The Invisible Man’

Hodge played James Lanier, the police officer who takes Elisabeth Moss’s Cecilia in after she runs, in Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man. He has since headlined Cross for Prime Video and played Hawkman in Black Adam.

Tillman’s own credits are Soul Food, Men of Honor, Notorious and The Hate U Give, and he produced the Barbershop films.

Prime Video will stream One Night Out in more than 240 countries and territories, with no date set yet.
